Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and run marketing activities to attract new customers, including special offers, events, and promotions.
• Keep up with the latest beauty trends and services to ensure the salon stays current and appealing.
• Manage daily salon operations, including staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and leave management.
• Ensure excellent customer service by handling inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
• Oversee inventory, product ordering, and pricing to maintain stock levels and profitability.
• Manage finances, including budgeting, payroll, pricing strategies, and controlling expenses.
• Ensure the salon meets all health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Key Skills:

• Strong staff training and development skills, with the ability to build a high-performing team.
• Solid understanding of beauty trends, especially in African hair care, braiding, and skincare.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to manage both staff and clients.
• Effective leadership and team-building abilities.
• Experience using salon software for booking, client records, and financial management.
• Problem-solving skills and flexibility to handle operational issues.
• Strong business focus with the ability to drive sales and control costs.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in managing a salon.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

Salary: £39,000 per annum

• Create effective staff schedules to ensure smooth operations and quality service.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve staff skills and performance.
• Ensure top-quality nail care services are consistently delivered to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
• Keep the service menu up to date by introducing new treatments and following the latest trends.
• Build positive relationships with the local community by engaging in events and charitable activities.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of nail care techniques, products, and trends, especially those relevant to African clientele.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, clients, and vendors.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities to keep the salon running smoothly.
